The fourth MyDispense Global Symposium took place at the Monash Prato Centre, Italy from 13th to the 16th July 2025. As well as marking 15 years since the launch of MyDispense, the symposium was a great opportunity to see some of the upcoming developments within the platform, in particular the extended independent prescribing exercise functionality and 3D avatars that will greatly increase the ways that MyDispense can be used in training future pharmacists (and other healthcare professionals). The MyDispense UK Community held a mini meeting of their own and welcomed attendees both familiar and new (including Aston University and our first representatives from Ireland via Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and Trinity College Dublin). Discussions covered the potential for establishing a document repository for best practice/SOPs/AI prompts/etc., the potential for collaboration to harness AI to develop IP teaching exercises and how the group could assist the team in Monash in ensuring that terminology and reference ranges within the software were up-to-date and aligned with practice in the UK/Ireland. We look forward to catching up the wider group and taking these ideas forwards at the next online MyDispense UK (and Ireland) Community meeting!
